One of our patients spoke her testimonial at Eastern Medical Center. She was suffering from a very severe migraine for a long time. With just 10 acupuncture treatments, the pain dramatically reduced down. Not only the migraine, but also her digestive issue was resolved. She had tried to fix her problems in various ways including resorting to western medical treatment, but those had been in vain. She is now healthy and can do things that were not allowed before. She strongly recommends Dr.Lee as your acupuncturist.
Eastern Medical Center - acupuncture in Calgary downtown: specialized treatments for pain and mental disorders
Eastern Medical Center provides personalized treatments with outstanding services to the patients. Based on more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Fancis Lee treats the patients masterfully. As a registered acupuncturist as well as an oriental medical doctor, Dr. Lee finds and analyzes the sources of the pain through multiple diagnoses such as the pulse and tongue diagnoses. When human body loses its natural balance due to psychological/mental problems, it shows the signs of such in the forms of bodily disorder or pain. Specializing in treating mental problems, Dr. Lee helps the patients to get back on track. He first examines the patients very thoroughly, from the their lifestyles to their personalities, before deciding on a treatment plan suitable for each patient. In order to treat disorders, Dr. Lee applies a reverse logic to the fact that mental illness causes the body to break down; he first strengthens the body in order to bring peace to the patient's state of mind. After several treatments, patients are able to regain health inside and out.

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin. Fire cupping involves soaking a cotton ball in 99% alcohol. The cotton is then clamped by a pair of forceps and lit via match or lighter. The flaming cotton ball is then, in one fluid motion, placed into the cup, quickly removed, and the cup is placed on the skin. Fire heats the inside of the cup and a small amount of suction is created by the air cooling down again and contracting. Massage oil may be applied to create a better seal as well as allow the cups to glide over muscle groups in an act called "moving cupping". Dark circles may appear where the cups were placed because of rupture of the capillaries just under the skin, but are not the same as a bruise caused by blunt-force trauma.
Bee sting acupuncture is a type of bee venom therapy where the bee venom gets injected into the area in pain. Bee venom is highly effective when it comes to treating arthritis, multiple sclerosis, tendonitis, and fibromyalgia for it lessens the pain and inflammation. Researches show that bee stings greatly slow down the progress of arthritis-related diseases by preventing the production of a interleukin-1, a compound that fuels arthritic pain and inflammation. At times when needed, Dr. Lee incorporates acupuncture and bee venom to effectively treat arthritis and the related diseases.
